In these days, Redeemer,
when some say the end is upon us,
when many fear the earth’s contortions
when your children still hurt in so many ways—
we need you.
We need you, O Wisdom, to enlighten the path through our fears:
fears of being lost, of being alone, of being wrong.
We need you, O Strength, to pull us from our pain:
pain of illness, of addiction, of consumption.
In these days, O Christ, you gather us in to nourish us;
and you send us out to nourish God’s beloved world.
Be our Wisdom and our Strength through all the challenges of life.
And lead us from our daily deaths, into resurrection of spirit,
until we, together, have enabled your realm of Shalom on earth.
